Visit Bhaktapur a UNESCO protected World Heritage site a medieval town shaped like a conch shell with an area of 6 sq kms, a living museum with some of the valley’s finest art and architecture. Founded in AD 889 by King Anand Malla, its has many palace squares. Visit the clay potters and thangka painters at work.
Drive to Gorkha
Drive to Gorkha along the scenic Prithvi Highway meadering through the Trishuli river valley past small settlements and terraced farmlands. Arrive at the historic site and visit the Palace of King Prithvi Narayan Shah the unifier of Nepal.
Drive to Pokhara
Transfer by car to Pokhara approx 195kms, the lakeside town with its best good views of the surrounding Himalayas and relaxing atmosphere. One of the most amazing views of 8000m high AnnapurnaI, Fishtail Peak, Dhaulagiri and Lamjung Himalayas. The Phewa lakeside is a nice and relaxing place to visit with its walks along the shore and pony rides.
PM Sightseeing to Davis Fall, Seti Gorge and Tibetan Welfare Centre. View a natural waterfall that drains the Phewa lake and Tashiling Monastery in the Tibetan Welfare Centre. Enjoy walk along the lakeside.
Drive to Tansen
Drive to Tansen, a trading hillside town and ancestral home of the Sen dynasty, enjoy a walk through this charming town with its meandering streets and visit the restored palace of this former kingdom. On clear days views of the Annapurna Himalayas to the north and to the south rolling plains of the terai region.
Drive to Lumbini
Drive to Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha. Arrive and enjoy a walk through the serene Sacred Garden where ancient chaityas mark the spots where teachers gave sermons, tour the Nativity center and enjoy the many temples inside this vast complex.
Drive to the Chitwan National Park
Drive to the Chitwan National Park for two nights of wildlife activity and a safari experience unique in Asia. Chitwan Park 1200 sq kms is home to endangered species of wildlife that include the one horned Asiatic rhino, tiger, leopard, many small mammals, two species of crocodiles and over 360 migratory and resident species of birds. Enjoy wildlife activity including elephant safari, dugout canoe trip, visit to elephant breeding centre, bird and nature walks in the luxury of your Wildlife Resort.
Return by vehicle or flight to Kathmandu, rest of day at leisure.
