The Kathmandu valley is surrounded on all sides by hills. Nagarkot and Kakani in the north, Dhulikhel east towards the Tibet border, Haathiban, Daman and Lubu to the south are places from where a truly spectacular Himalayan sunrise or sunset can be viewed.
This allows a cultural village experience and spectacular views of the north himalayas that include mountains on the Nepal-China border. Enjoy walks, bike rides or just soak in the good views at these destinations. Stop by and talk to the villagers.
Day by Day Itinerary
Drive to Kathmandu to Mountain Resort of choice, en route visit a cultural site.
Enjoy sunset over the central Himalayas. Overnight in the Resort.
Enjoy a Himalayan sunrise over the snow capped mountains.
After breakfast or spending a full day, drive back to Kathmandu.
