These areas though the most easily accessible and remains one of the finest mountain treks. The Langtang trail starts from Syabrubensi, a drive of 7 hr from Kathmandu.  It is a mix of Bhutia, Tamang and Sherpa mountain cultures.  There are active monasteries which give the area a mystic touch.

The trail being inside the Langtang National Park, there are lush forests of pine, fir, juniper, oak and rhododendron.  This a walk through the National Park and the communities within it. Fine views from Tsergo Ri 4984 metres, the Langshisa glacier and the Laure Bina Pass at 3930 metre.  It is an edifying experience to camp near Gosainkunda lake, holy associated with Lord Shiva.  Lookout for the endangered red panda and musk deer.  Trek will visit the Buddhist Kyangjin monastery and the famous Langtang cheese factory.
