This ancient trail opened for organised trekking has villages with unspoilt cultures and is naturally well conserved. Begin trek along the Buri Gandaki valley and ascend gradually towards the Base Camp close to the Tibet China border, cross Larkya la pass 4878m and follow the Marshyangdi Valley. The lower hill communities of Bahun, Chettri give way to Gurungs and Tibetans in the higher valley. It is the most popular restricted area trek.
